Forget New Year’s resolutions and set goals instead to gain control over your time to achieve what is most important to you! Remember that lack of focus and lack of planning are not emergencies. Keep in mind that commitment to a written goal can be strengthened if you ask someone to hold you accountable to the goal.

Goals that are written down get accomplished. Goals that have accountability get accomplished. The effect of written goals has been supported by research. Those who write their goals accomplish significantly more than those who do not write their goals. In a research study at the Dominican University in California, Gail Matthews found that you become 42% more likely to achieve your goals and dreams, simply by writing them down. The likelihood that you’ll transform your desires into reality goes up even further if you share your written goals with someone that believes in your ability to succeed.
